Vintage Harker Pottery Red Apple & Pear/Red Band II Modern Age tabbed cake platterVery good Used Condition. No visible cracks or chips. Artwork on still very bright, no fading. I gently wiped this item off but will leave it to the new owner to give it a good cleaning.
Almost no utensil marks.
This beautiful tabbed handle platter is part of the Harker Red Apple II Modern Age Collection. Pattern is characterized by Modern Age with skyscraper mark on bottom, Apple & Pear pattern on both sides, Red Band & Trim and is a cream color instead of white.
The size is 12'' at the tabbed handle part and about 10- 11'' on the shorter edge.

A little history of Harker Pottery....Harker Pottery Company of East Liverpool, Ohio, was incorporated in 1890 in East Liverpool, Ohio. The Harker family had been making pottery in the area since 1840. The company made many types of pottery. The plant was moved to Chester, West Virginia, in 1931. Harker made serving pieces of the Autumn Leaf line made famous by Hall China Company and produced dinnerware designed by Russel Wright. In 1971 the company was sold to Jeannette Glass Company and all operations ceased in 1972,
