    Description

    This is a
    1939 Clown Doll
    that is being sold as an antique.  The date is scribed onto the right rear of the head by the unknown manufacturer under the glaze. The body is made of a very early type of plastic that is quite thin. The hat, facial features, hair and shoes appear to be hand-painted. SIZE: Approximately 7" from top of head to feet and 4" between the hands. There are two bell type decorations sewn on the costume at the bottom left and right pants legs.
    The arms and legs are made out of coated wire and the legs are hinged at the waist so that the doll can be placed in a sitting position.
    The shoes and hands are made from the same plastic material as the body and head.
