Vintage 1940's Art Deco Abingdon, USA, Green Pottery Vase. Ever so lovely glaze that makes the vase shine like mad. There is no damage on the vase. There are no chips, cracks or anything. No water lines as it was only displayed and never used for flowers.
The lovely vase measures 8 3/4" high. From the tip of each handle to each other it is 6 3/4". The opening at the top is 5 3/4" wide.
The pretty green color is also found on the inside as well.
A truly lovely pottery vase to add to your decor.
Marked on the bottom. Please have a look at the photos. The vase is quite heavy and not like the flimsy pottery made these days.
Of interest to anyone interested, Raymond Bidwell initially established his company as Abingdon Sanitary Co., During the depression to keep his doors open, he started to produce art pottery which he did from 1934 until 1950 when he went back to making plumbing fixtures only.
