When the storage capacity of Synology RS815 is nearing its limit, additional storage space can be easily added with Synology RX415 expansion enclosure. Equipped with specially-designed locking connectors, Synology RX415 can be securely connected to RS815 via an eSATA cable. Synology RX415 provides room for an additional 32 TB volume, allowing for a maximum raw capacity of 64 TB consisting of four 16TB volumes.

To protect your critical business data, RS815 can become a centralized backup target for consolidating fragmented and unstructured information across your network through a range of options.
Cloud Station comes with selective sync and ACL control provides real-time multi-version data backup and synchronization across different platforms and multiple devices. Synology RS815 is designed with energy efficiency in mind. HDD hibernation can be configured to take effect automatically when the system has been inactive for a specified period of time. RS815’s power consumption can be reduced down to only 14.35 watts when the hard drives are hibernating.

This RS815 was used in a home environment.  It never had any physical or virtual issues.  It has been cleaned but still shows a small amount of dust that can be expected in used computer hardware.

It will be shipped to you in official Synology packaging which was tailor-built for this form factor to protect the server in transport.
