Description
First awarded in 1942, the African Campaign Medal was issued to German soldiers to recognize their achievements in the North African desert campaign of the Africa Corps.This is a bronze replica of the award. It comes with a six-inch length of the appropriate 30 mm ribbon. The ribbon is a post-war German-made replica.
The body of the medal measures 30 mm across. The front features two gladiators (Italy and Germany) wrestling a crocodile (England). The reverse has the Felini Arch and the royal knot of the Italian Royal House of Savoy.
