    Description

The Abingdon Pottery Volute Vase Shape #410 was made 1937-39.  This one is in a glossy peachy/tan glaze that I believe was called "fawn".  It is 8 inches tall, about 5-1/2 inches wide at the top curled handles, 4 inches in diameter across the top rim, & almost 3-3/4 inches in diameter at the base.  This is the shortest of a series of 3 volute vases in this shape, with the #412 at 15 inches & the 411 at 10-1/2 inches.
The vase has the impressed diamond-A Abingdon mark, the impressed Abingdon mark, & the impressed mold number 410 on the bottom.  It is in excellent condition - no chips, hairlines, or crazing.  Ships USPS.
