Description

The Abingdon Pottery Classic Candleholders #126 were made in 1940 & 1941, the last years that their designs came out in semi-annual catalogs before all that changed with WWII in 1942.
This pair has a delicate design with beaded vertical lines & a ribbon bow shape on 4 sides of the top edge.  They have a rich yellow gloss glaze that Abingdon used ca. 1939-47.  Each candleholder is about 3-1/2 inches in diameter tapering up to about 1-3/4 inches in diameter at the top.  They sit about 2-1/4 inches above the table.  They don't have the full Abingdon mark on the bottom, but do have the "USA" in a rectangle that was frequently used on their smaller pieces.  The shape number 126 is clearly impressed on the bottom of one candleholder, but cannot be seen on the other.
They are in very good vintage condition - no chips or hairlines or crazing.
