    Description

    Hi there!
Up for sale is a newly converted, fully off-grid bus/camper/tiny-home-on-wheels.
The build is on a 1998 International 4700 Chassis, with the all mechanical DT466 engine and Allison MD3560 5-speed automatic transmission. The bus has about 235,000 miles and was government fleet maintained by its single owner since new in 1998. No corrosion anywhere on vehicle. All tires in good condition with no dry rot and good tread.
There are zero mechanical issues or problems of any kind; I encourage any prospective buyer to take it to the diesel mechanic of their choice for a thorough inspection.
The bus was owned its entire life by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, and was used to transport firefighters to fight wildfires. This bus is an absolute tank with significant ground clearance and has no problem driving on the worst roads.
This bus has been designed to be functional and capable for living or traveling off of the grid.
    Electrical Tech Specs:
    1200 watts of solar
Victron Energy 100V/50A MPPT charge controller,
Victron Energy IP65 land based battery charger
300 AH @ 24V (equivalent of 600AH at 12V) of Lithium Ion (LiPo4) deep cycle batteries
4000 hours Watt pure sine wave inverter
    Plumbing Tech Specs:
125 gallon fresh water tank (filled from a lockable hatch on the exterior)
40 gallon gray water tank (plenty of room for additional tanks if desired)
    Bosch hot water heater
    Electric water pump
    Other Technical Info:
Fully insulated with 1.5” thick, R-12 (insulation value) rigid boards
12000 BTU Pioneer mini-split air conditioner and heater
Inside of the luxuriously appointed cabin, you will find a 90” long butcher block slab for the kitchen countertop, with a deep stainless steel sink and faucet. Everything that moves (cabinet doors, drawers, etc.) are secured with heavy duty magnets to ensure that nothing opens while driving. The kitchen provides ample counter space, and the robust electrical system can handle any 115V appliances you’d like, including induction cooktops and countertop ovens.
The dinette provides a comfortable and ergonomic place to eat, use a laptop, etc. It also quickly and easily turns into a 74” long flat bed — large enough for another adult. Both seats on the dinette also flip up to reveal even more storage.
The bed platform is 54” wide —
large enough to accommodate a double/full XL mattress and plenty of pillows. The water tank, all the electrical components, and another large storage area are located under the bed. The bed platform is on hinges and flips up.
There is an indoor shower lined with white subway tile.
As seen in the photos, there is currently an open room with no specific purpose. I can turn it into a bathroom (I have a new-in the box natures head composting toilet), a pantry, a clothing closet… whatever you want, I can make happen.
The walls and ceiling are lined with tounge and groove wood planks, stained dark-brown, and sealed/protected with polyurethane. They look beautiful, do not stain, clean easily, and are as smooth to the touch as glass.
The ceiling has 22 flush mounted LED lights, controlled by switches on numerous different logical zones.
The exterior of this bus is freshly painted in its original color, with a Sherwin Williams industrial oil enamel paint, mixed with sanded texture. It has a bedliner type feel -- durable and hides any scratches or blemishes.
On the exterior of this bus, you’ll find an incredible amount of functional storage space — something truly unique to this vehicle. You will not find this on any Sprinter Van or School Bus. The rear of the bus has two storage lockers; each is roughly 74” H x 24” D x 30” W. Both sides of the bus have various lockers. Two on the passenger side are 40” W x 24” H x 24” D. Three lockers on the driver side collectively are 86” W x 24” H x 24” D. Each side has a long and skinny space measuring 21” W x 13” H x 47” L. The divider in the middle of these can be easily removed, to make an almost 8 foot long storage area — plenty long to fit in any kind of skis, snowboards, fishing poles, etc. Every single one of these storage bins has a built In, factory-original lock.
I have tried to be as thorough as possible here, but if you have any questions — please don’t hesitate to reach out.
    Thank you.
