    A beautiful 1836/1336 capped bust half dollar graded AU 55 by PCGS. It holds a nice strong strike with mostly white and extremely lustrous surfaces. This coin is by far the nicest example we have ever offered for this 1836/1336 variety. PCGS has labeled it to be specifically the Overton 108 A variety with the 'lettered edge'. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
    This date is common to the series with a huge mintage of 6,545,000. However, the variety of this coin really sets itself apart from the masses and it is one of only nine graded About Uncirculated 55 by PCGS for this particular variety.
