    Description

    What a shame...until you consider the price.  This 1830 O.117 Small 0 Capped Bust half dollar, graded PCGS AU details, code 95 for scratch, is a real shame.  Why couldn't the vandal who victimized this coin with a small scratch have chosen some other coin, one already well worn and abused in other ways.  This coin was nearly perfect, and heck, it remains that way today!  Yes, it has a short scratch from the ribbon end towards S12, but it is otherwise perfect - not just in terms of it being virtually Unc, but in terms of it being perfectly preserved and absolutely choice in every other way.  But, without the scratch, it'd be in a fifty eight holder, it'd have a green bean, and it'd be priced roughly triple or more what our price is.  Sounds like this is great value!
