    Description

Up for auction is a very nice 1830 capped bust half dollar. Using the fifth edition of Don Parsley's Overton guide to US Early Half Dollar Varieties, and Glenn Peterson's Guide to Attributing Bust Half Dollars, I've determined this coin to be O-105, showing the distinctive defect inside the triangle of A-1. This is an R-4 which in rarity rating is very scarce.   I do not assign grades to my coins so look at the photos and make your own decision. This is a no reserve auction so bid accordingly and have fun. I have other capped bust halves up for auction, so be sure to take a look.
